Selling Your
Gold Jewelry

Do you have gold jewelry to sell? Our Montreal store offers free, no obligation evaluations for your gold jewelry.  Stop in today and get the best price for your items.

How are we different?

When you walk into a pawn shop, visit a gold buyer kiosk at a mall or send your valuables to a mail-in buyer, the price offered for your gold can vary quite a bit because these businesses want to maximize the profit on each individual customer.  Your bargaining skills will be put to the test.  We don’t do business that way.  Our gold prices are based on the market rate of the day you sell.  Check out up to date GOLD PRICE CANADA page.

What we accept

Types of gold jewelry we buy

Gold Rings

Gold Bands
Sell your gold rings at Montreal Gold for the best market value price. We can determine the gold content of your rings, provide you with a written quote and should you wish to sell, offer you cash or a cashier's check on the spot (depending on the quote amount). Because rings, and in particular men's rings, are heavy and typically 14 karat gold, they can carry substantial value in the scrap gold market. If you have a ring or rings you might be interested in parting with, stop by and let us evaluate them for you at no charge, with no obligation to sell.

Gold Earrings

Gold Earings
A lot of the earrings that come through the door of our Montreal store have lost their partner. That's one unfortunate truth about earrings: they're easy to lose. But that doesn't mean you can't get value from a single earring or a pair you no longer wish to keep. Stop in for a free, no obligation quote on gold hoops, studs or any other type of earrings and find out how much they're worth.

Gold Necklaces

Gold Chain
Gold necklaces are typically made in 10 to 14kt gold, though some thicker necklaces can be up to 18 karat. If you're in the mood to sell, bring yours by our Montreal store and let us provide you with a free, no obligation quote. You might be very pleasantly surprised at how much even a dainty gold necklace is worth! And if your necklace contains gemstones that we don't purchase, we will carefully remove them and return them to you.

Gold Chains

Gold Chain
Gold chains can carry a high value, particularly those that have significant weight. Even though the purity of most chains ranges from 9 to 14 karat, the sheer volume of gold equates to a good price in the scrap gold market. Because thick gold chains are far less fashionable than they once were, it's a good time to sell. If you're inclined to take some weight off (your neck), stop by our Montreal store, where we'll be happy to provide you with a free, no obligation quote.

Gold Bracelets

Tennis bracelets and thinner chain bracelets are usually made from 10k or 14k gold. Bangles and heavier bracelets are often made of 18k, 19k or even 22k gold, representing a substantial value in the scrap gold market. And although rare, some Asian gold bracelets are made from pure 24k gold. If you have a bracelet you may wish to part with, visit us at our Montreal store for a free, no obligation quote.

Gold Class Rings

Classy
As class rings have decreased in popularity over the years, many have found a permanent home in the bottom of a drawer. That's too bad, as although class rings are typically made of higher alloy content 10 or 14kt gold, they're hefty design means they have enough weight to command a good price. The gemstones in these rings are typically of no value but we do come across the occasional class ring with real stones, which we can remove for you.

Gemstones + Diamonds

Diamond Icon
While we don't purchase most gemstones, we do buy diamonds at Montreal Gold. Diamonds under .25 carat weight we can purchase on the spot. Diamonds above that weight can be sent to one of our sister stores with a GIA gemologist on staff who can grade them, at which point we can make an offer. For gold or silver jewelry sales where diamonds are part of the jewelry, we will carefully remove the stones and return them to you should you wish to retain them instead of selling them.

Estate Jewelry

Gold Heart
Estate sales can involve a variety of precious metals, not just gold jewelry. Sterling silver flatware, platinum, palladium and scrap gold may also be part of the sale. Montreal Gold is well equipped to evaluate the wide variety of precious metals from an estate and can offer a free quote based on the market price of the precious metals with a same day payout for all items we buy.

Have any questions? Contact us today or pop in to our Montreal store.  We look forward to meeting you!
