Payment options for bullion

When you purchase gold bars from CanadaGold Montreal (Montréal Or) or any Canada Gold branch across the country, you can pay in several ways.

Please call us before making a payment for an online order to receive a unique order number and confirm your total.

1. Debit cards from Canadian banks or credit unions (no credit cards)

• Pay in the store at the time of purchase.
• Debit card limits are generally between $1,300 and $10,000. Please check with your bank if you need a limit increase for larger transactions.
• Instantly access your bullion upon payment.

2. Cash

All transactions are subject to the rules and regulations of our compliance regime, under the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA).

• For cash payments greater than $10,000, A valid ID is required, and approval from a store manager may be necessary.
• Only modern Canadian polymer banknotes, which feature a transparent vertical strip, are accepted. Our staff may accept up to $1,000 older Canadian banknotes, at the manager's discretion.
• Your ingots can be collected immediately.

3. Bank draft

• Please call or visit your local Canada Gold office to confirm inventory and exact amounts before proceeding with payment.
• The check must be made payable to «Canada Gold».
• Please ensure that the amounts are correct. We do not give change on bank drafts.
• We only accept bank drafts from Canadian banks and trust companies.
• Present the bank draft at the Canada Gold office on the same day it is dated.
• Provide your ID and phone number at the time of payment.
• Your ingots can be collected after a processing period of 5 to 10 business days.

4. Bank transfer

• Recommended for purchases over $1,000.
• Please call or visit your local Canada Gold office to receive an invoice number and confirm the inventory and exact amounts before proceeding with payment. Provide your full name and phone number at that time.
